TC Farm Has Neighborhood Pickup Locations Too

TC Farm Has Neighborhood Pickups Too!

Some of our members get neighborhood pickups. We deliver to nearly 50 neighborhood pickup sites one day each month. Nearly all of these pickup sites are other members' homes.

More about Monthly Neighborhood Pickups

While most of our members get home deliveries, some of our members find our once a month neighborhood pickups fit them better. Often, they live outside our (growing) home delivery area but can still pick up their food one day each month.

It isn't quite as convenient as our home deliveries. Instead of letting us know your order a few days ahead of time, we need to know what you are getting by the last day of the month for the next month's deliveries. But it's still a great way to get our food!

Nearly all of of the neighborhood pickups are between noon and 7PM. There's no need to coordinate a specific time since once the food is dropped off, everything stays nicely frozen in our coolers.
The items you order will be in a box with your name on it and a neighbor will host the pickup on their porch. No need to knock or greet anyone. In fact, please don't. :)

Just grab the box(es) with your name from the cooler and be on your way.

If you want to get your TC Farm food from a neighborhood pickup site, there's a few things you should know:

  • Deliveries are either the second or third week of the month, on a Wednesday or a Thursday.
  • We can't change the date of your neighborhood pickup
  • The deadline for getting your order in for a monthly pickup is the last day of the month. We can't make any changes after that.
  • You can always change to another neighborhood pickup site. But we can't make any changes after the last day of the month.
  • You do need to pick up your food by 7PM on the delivery day. The members hosting the neighborhood pickup don't have a way to store your food in their own homes.

All of our pickup sites are homes or businesses. The map will will show the nearest intersection within a block or so for home sites. We don't like displaying home addresses on a public map. Don't worry, we'll share the exact address for the home sites when you join! We hope you understand that we value their privacy as well.

Will my food fit in my freezer?

Yes! For most of our members spending less than $300 per month, each package should fit easily into a normal freezer. It begins to get a little trickier for those spending $400 or $500 per month.

A typical monthly delivery will take up less than one cubic foot of freezer space and most of the bacon or sausage type items can be safely stored in your refrigerator.

For those with larger memberships, we recommend a small chest freezer. They can be as small as 2' x 3' and cost $200. Most people find they are a good investment for more than just our subscription.

Does the food stay cold before I pick it up?

Yes! Our deliveries are dropped off in large, insulated coolers that keep your package safe even in the warmest months. They stay frozen well past the recommended pickup window if you are running late that day.

What if I can't make my pick-up time?

If you are unable to pickup on the regularly scheduled day and a neighbor can't stop by for you, you'll need to contact the person hosting the pickup site. Some locations might have room in their personal freezer to hold your package for you.

Do I need to meet anyone at a specific time?

No. Pickups are self serve for your neighborhood and avalable most of the day and until 7PM in the evening. Just stop by and grab the box with your name on it. Check out the video above to see how easy it is!

"I love that TC Farm allows my family and I to eat great tasting, nourishing meat without worrying about how it was raised. It’s fresh, local, healthy, and humane. I love that peace of mind."

Note: While it costs $49/calendar year to be a TC Farm member,
if you are getting neighborhood deliveries, instead of $4.99/delivery, you can pick up your deliveries for free one day each month.
