2022 FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Do I have to sign up for this?
Answer: Nope! You don't need to do anything. You can keep getting TC Farm deliveries like you always have. Outside of this program, home deliveries are $19. Neighborhood deliveries will still be free.

Question: Why are you asking people to sign up now?
Answer: Filling this out helps TC Farm plan ahead for 2022. Farming is all about planning ahead. The more we know ahead of time, the better we can do what we do! We need to order seeds and do other stuff to get ready for our members before February. Knowing what our members want means we can plant the right kind of seeds and lets us start up our amazing milk program this spring!

Question: I already sent in my produce preferences in November (or December) - do I need to fill this out again.
Answer: Yes! That was to help us know what to start suggesting for your weekly orders. This is to help us plan for 2022. We want to make everything as easy as possible. So if you are already getting exactly the produce you want on the schedule you want, simply select the box you want and pick "No Change" from the dropdown. Easy.

Question: Do I need to have produce in every delivery to a get home delivery for $4.99?
Answer: No! As long as you sign up to reserve produce or milk for 2022, then all of your 2022 deliveries will be $4.99, whether you have produce in that particular delivery or not.

Question: Can I still add produce to my monthly deliveries without signing up?
Answer: Yes! But - We won't know how much to raise for 2022 without our members signing up. So we might not have enough produce for everyone who didn't sign up.

Question: Can I still add milk to my monthly deliveries without signing up?
Answer: We think so. What we do know is that TC Farm needs to get a minimum number of people (around 400 members) to sign up for milk in order to get the program to work. Getting single-sourced milk that has been raised the right way isn't easy! One of the big things is that it requires a dedicated truck to ensure it meets our standards and to avoid other milk from a million other farms with different standards being mixed in.

Even if you might only get milk once a month, we need to know that ahead of time! We have to make sure we have a full truck's worth each week so we can start offering the milk!

What are the different kinds of milk?
Answer: We will be offering 2% and whole fat milk. Our full fat milk will have more healthy fats and vary in cream content depending on the season and grazing conditions. Grocery "whole" milk is actually skimmed to 3%. Expect TC Farm whole fat milk to range from 3.5% fat to a decadent 4.5%. mmmmmm.

Question: What is the annual cost of the TC Farm 2022 Home Delivery Program?
Answer: If you want to start getting $4.99 home deliveries, the program is $99/year. But if you register for milk or produce before January 31, we will be waiving the cost for 2022. If you want to sign up for the home delivery program without getting milk or produce, we will open that up to members the 1st week of February.

Question: When does this start?
This starts beginning with your next month's deliveries. Whatever you register for will affect future recommendations. But it won't change what's already in existing deliveries in your portal.

So if you register to get, say, a produce staples box every week but you already have existing deliveries in your portal, you would want to add that produce staples package yourself to your current deliveries. We'll start adding them beginning with our future recommendations.

Our milk program is scheduled to start in April.
