I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know a little more about the timing of when we are going to start rolling out our TC Farm Milk:
Those of you who have been members for a while might already know that TC Farm milk has been years in the making. When we offered samples of the milk last autumn to our members, we went into some detail about what made the milk so different.
We've been aiming for a spring launch based on the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA)'s preliminary approved our plans for the cardboard carton. However, another agency has recently added additional requirements. The short version is that these requirements mean we need build a special enclosed area (that wasn't in the original plans) for loading and unloading the milk cartons.
The new plans for this are being drawn up this week and we think the approval should be quick. MDA has been very supportive of what we are offering and wants to help get this up and running. Once we get the approval, we are probably 60 days out from being able to begin delivery (since once we get that approval we still have to order the cartons themselves). That looks to be June.
We are so so excited for the day when we can post an article saying "Here comes the milk!!", but of course we are working with regulatory agencies so we really like to make sure that every I is dotted and every T is crossed! There are so many little details that go into farming and raising food that go beyond simply farming and raising food!!!
Whew!
If you haven't registered to reserve milk and are interested, please do so today. As you can tell based on the information above, it is quite an undertaking and commitment to ensure we have single sourced milk from such a high quality TC Farmer.
The more pre-reservations we have and the more we know what to expect once the milk is available. This is really helpful for us to ensure everyone has access to this unique and healthy food!
Thanks for waiting. It will be worth the wait.
