We've got some extra produce
Whether you already signed up for the Produce CSA and want to try some a little early or you simply wanted to see what you're missing, feel free to add some produce to your May delivery.
We are still moving ahead and launching our produce CSA to everyone who signed up for it in the coming weeks.
Some members who lived close to the core metro areas were invited to be on "early access" routes. We wanted to make sure we had all the logistics in place for everyone else when the produce CSA started up.
We have some extra produce boxes for May. Whether or not you signed up for the weekly produce CSA, if you wanted to add one of these to your regular May delivery, you are welcome to. If you add one of these boxes, your May TC Farm delivery would be a home delivery and we'd include the produce box along with your other TC Farm stuff.
Getting ready to launch our produce CSA in June, we've built an early access program. We've got some members getting produce deliveries early, before we kick off our Produce CSA next month. (This helps us make sure that the program launches smoothly for everyone for the June-October growing season.)
We know many of you registered for the Early Access option, but we were unable to deliver to every geographic area during this time.
As we are ramping up, we are able to offer extra May produce shares for any member if you wanted to add these to your order. You don't need to be a member of our weekly produce CSA (that starts next month) to add one of these to your May delivery).
Please note: To ensure the freshness and consistency of the produce, all produce shares need to be home delivered, not picked up at a neighborhood location.
If you see some available and want to add some to your cart: cool! We will include one produce share along with your May delivery.
Note: your account will be upgraded to home delivery and all your May TC Farm items (including the May produce package) will be included in one of our home delivery routes for May.
Note also that if you do this, your delivery date will probably change. The portal will be updated to show that your new delivery date.
Adding a one-time produce order to your cart for May will not impact if you've registered for the weekly program this season (i.e. if you are currently registered, you'll still start Memorial Day week and if you aren't registered, you won't wind up with an unexpected order all summer).
Please note: There is limited produce available for May. We will work to fill every order added while these are available, but produce growing in the early spring is subject to if the sun shines enough, so please know we may need to adjust.

Weight of this package will vary week to week depending on the value of what is included.
Please note that we are aiming to include a balanced share which maximizes local and heirloom produce. However, we also want to minimize food waste by ensuring the included food is usable in our busy lives! Plan on some foods from out of state, especially fruits and outside of the Minnesota growing season.
