Seven Songs: Planting Garlic!

When: Saturday October 30th
Time: 10-5 or any part of the day that works for you

Melissa Driscoll from Seven Songs is looking for volunteers this weekend to help plant garlic!

Here's what she wrote:

Last fall we had a great time with a total of 14 people helping to break garlic bulbs into cloves, and then to hop on the garlic planter and plant those cloves.

We have tasks for folks of all ages, plus there is a large straw pile to play on!!

Here are the details for garlic planting this year:

Free Lunch: I will provide a lunch! I am not sure what it will be but if you plan to attend and have some dietary restrictions please let me know. I promise it will be very good, and made from local organic foods.

Location: Seven Songs Organic Farm, 46544 70th Ave., Kenyon, MN 55946. It takes about an hour from downtown St. Paul and 1.25 hours from Minneapolis - to get to the farm.

Each person will be sent home with squash, or tomatoes, or garlic or other great food grown here.

Also, usually there is a bit left to do on Sunday. If that works better for some folks let me know.

For more information or with any questions, you can call or text Melissa at 612-584-8091
