Some stuff you should know

It takes time to get everyone's deliveries ready.

Even making and then printing out the stickers that go on everyone's boxes and the check sheets for each pickup site takes a couple of hours(!)

That's why we have a cutoff for making changes for neighborhood deliveries by the last day of each month. Once we have that all ready to go, we are given a day at our refrigerated warehouse to gather all the food and build pallets for the delivery drivers for each of their routes, broken down by which food goes to which stop. (You can get a sense of what that looks like here.)

Once everything is wrapped up and ready to go for the delivery drivers, the warehouse charges us to come back make changes. We have to go find the right pallet, break it down, find the right stop and the right boxes, then rebuilt the pallets again. And we then have to reprint all the check sheets to make sure the drivers have the latest ones.

Rather than have a blanket policy of "no changes after we've prepared the delivery" we want to offer the chance to make those changes when possible. But also give our members a chance to make an informed choice, understanding exactly WHY making the change is so hard and ask them to share that cost with us.



Cutoff Window:

  • Neighborhood deliveries: Make any changes through the last day of the month
  • Tuesday home deliveries: By the Thursday night before the delivery
  • Wednesday/Thursday home deliveries: Make any changes by the Sunday night the week of the delivery


  • Adjusting orders any time during cutoff window: No charge
  • Adjusting orders after the cutoff window: $40
    Produce items like mushrooms and greens cannot be restocked after the cutoff window closes.



And while this should go without saying, we obviously can't accept a returned product once it has been delivered.
The same goes for pickups - we go out of our way to let you know when the product will be delivered - before the end of the month, in your portal, and in two different reminder messages on delivery day. Once we have delivered the food, if you miss the pickup window, our pickup sites are really good about trying to connect and arrange a different day for pickup. But - once delivered, this is your food - if you forget to pick it up, we can't simply refund the money because you didn't pick it up.

If you don't pickup your food on time, the food is forfeited and no refunds are possible.
